DISCO diva Sam Bailey gave the 'performance of the night' on Saturday (Nov 2) and is once again the bookies' favourite to win The X Factor.
After dancing her way through Barbra Streisand and Donna Summer's 1979 hit ‘Enough is Enough (No More Tears)’, Sam, who grew up in Eynsford Road in Bexley Village, received a standing ovation from all four judges.
William Hill is now offering 2/1 odds on Sam to win the competition.
As well as wowing the judges and the audience with her performance last weekend, the 35-year-old mother-of- two revealed she is taking better care of herself and has dropped a stone-and-a-half in weight.
Judge Louis Walsh told the former Cleeve Park and Bexley Performing Arts school student: "Sam, I loved the makeover.
"You have become a yummy mummy now.
"And that was the vocal performance of the night by a mile."
Mentor Sharon Osborne, whose only act left in the competition is Sam, added: "Not only the vocal performance, but the presentation, the delivery.
"I'm so proud of you Sam, I loves ya."
Despite only performing powerful ballads including Celine Dion's 'My Heart Will Go On' in the competition, Sam proved she could handle disco fever.
She said: "I'm looking forward to disco week, I'm the only person still left in the competition that was born during this era."
Gary Barlow said: "Sam, as the big ballad singer of the competition I was I was sure tonight you were going to struggle.
"How wrong was I? What a performance that was."
He added: "You look amazing, you really do."
Nicole Scherzinger added: "You were so soulful, that was amazing."
After a tense Sunday night results show, former favourite 16-year-old Tamera Foster ended up in the bottom two but survived the sing-off against Kingsland Road.
The controversial flash vote was abolished, so the bottom two acts were both revealed on Sunday after performances by Taylor Swift and former winners Little Mix.
