Halloween spooky sale at Chislehurst store raises £1,300 for charity
A CHISLEHURST charity shop made the most of spooky festivities to raise money for a youth charity.
2gether has been tucking away fancy dress pieces all year ahead of the special event to help parents to source cheap costumes for little ones this Halloween while raising money for a worthy cause.
The ghostly sale attracted a lot of attention from customers, with one regular even waiting outside the High Street shop to open on the morning of the event.
The bumper fancy dress sale raised £1,300 for Chislehurst Youth for Christ, a charity that reaches out to youth in need in the area and helps to transform their lives.
Shop manager Clare Herriot says the costumes went down a treat with parents and little ones alike.
She said: “Even adults could be seen trying on hats and wigs and mums buying fairy dresses for their girls to grow into.
“Where would we be without our customers who continue to donate their pre-loved goodies year after year and my team of 65 who give their time so willingly week after week.”
