Biggin Hill warplanes flypast to mark Remembrance Sunday
THE largest formation of warbirds to be seen overhead for many years will pay tribute to fallen servicemen and woman on Remembrance Sunday.
It will be made up of five Spitfires of various marks, a Hurricane, a Harvard trainer and an American Piper Cub and will take to the skies over Biggin Hill on November 10.
After forming up a short distance from Biggin Hill Airport, the aircraft will fly over St George's RAF Memorial Chapel at two minutes after 11am before turning to fly over the chalk cross set in the hills above Shoreham eight minutes later.
Everyone is welcome to watch the flypast at both locations.
It is being organised by the Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar which is looking for sponsorship to help fund the aerial tribute.
Call 07972 275999 or email the heritage hangar for details on how to sponsor the event.
