Penge High Street roadworks set to last three weeks
THAMES Water is carrying out more roadworks in Penge High Street, less than two months after it had to close the road to repair a breach in a sewer (pictured).
A CCTV survey has found there is another void in the sewer along the same stretch of road and this could cause problems with three large water mains.
But the void is not as severe as last time so instead of closing the street, temporary traffic lights will be put in to control the traffic.
Work is set to start today (October 30) and take up to three weeks.
