WANTED: Burglar with 'soft Irish accent' who stole pensioner's lifetime jewellery collection in Belvedere
A PENSIONER had his lifetime collection of jewellery stolen from his Belvedere home during a distraction burglary.
The 86-year-old man was told by the suspect to let him into his property as he was completing work at a nearby home and needed to turn his water off.
When the pensioner went to his kitchen, the suspects entered the home and stole his jewellery collection, which was worth thousands of pounds.
Among the items were several pocket watches, which were each worth hundreds of pounds.
The suspect is described as white, around 5ft 8ins tall and with a soft Irish accent.
Bexley Police were unable to disclose the exact location where the offence took place but say it happened on October 4 between 2pm and 2.30pm.
