UPDATE: Chislehurst pensioner rushed to hospital 'as priority' after being hit by car
A PENSIONER has been rushed to hospital with head injuries after being hit by a car in Chislehurst this morning.
Met Police officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) were called to Green Lane, at the junction with Westhurst Drive, at 8.13am to reports of a pedestrian in collision with a Citroen.
Paramedics treated a man, who is believed to be around 70, for head, leg and arm injuries and he was taken by ambulance to Kings College Hospital’s major trauma centre as ‘a priority.’
Police say his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
LAS confirmed they sent a single responder in a car and an ambulance crew to Green Lane after receiving the 999 call.
Green Road was closed for most of the morning but has now re-opened.
No one has been arrested.
