UPDATE: New Cross lorry crash leaves motorcyclist with 'potentially life-changing' injuries
A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital with 'potentially life-changing' head injuries after a New Cross collision with a lorry.
The accident happened on Queen's Road near the junction with York Grove on the borders of Peckham.
Police and ambulances were called out to the scene at 8.15am this morning.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: "Our staff treated one patient, a man reported to be 26 years old for a head injury and back pain.
"He was taken as a priority to King's College Hospital."
Following the accident, the road was closed both ways but police have now reopened it.
