Praise continues for X Factor stars Tamera Foster and Sam Bailey
PRAISE has continued to flood in for north Kent’s X Factor stars Tamera Foster and Sam Bailey.
Both singers sailed through to the third week of live shows yesterday, with 16-year-old Gravesend singer Tamera being described as a “superstar” by Gary Barlow.
The Take That singer likened her performance of Labrinth and Emile Sande’s ‘Beneath Your Beautiful’ to that of the biggest popstars in the world, whilst Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger described her rendition as “gorgeous.”
Retro judge Louis Walsh said: “I loved your song choice and everytime I hear your voice I think Whitney, Rihanna, Leona Lewis - you’ve got it all.”
Addressing the North West Kent College music student, he added: “The potential in you is incredible.”
Former Miskin Theatre acting student Sam Bailey, who grew up in Bexley Village, spoke on the show about her love of football, before belting out a “fantastic” performance of Adele’s ‘Can You Feel My Love.’
Gary told her she takes “the bar up another level” with every performance but Nicole was less impressed, telling the former Cleeve Park School student the song left her feeling “luke warm.”
