Teenager charged following burglary in Panters, Hextable
A HEXTABLE teenager has been charged following a burglary in Hextable that saw an elderly couple rushed to hospital.
Kent Police officers arrested the 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, after he was caught allegedly burgling a home in Emersons Avenue, Hextable, at some point between October 16 and 17.
He was later charged with two counts of burgling a dwelling with intent to inflict grievous bodily harm, relating to the incident at Panters in Hextable last Tuesday (October 15).
An 84-year-old man and an 89-year-old woman were rushed to Kings College Hospital in London following the incident – both have now been discharged.
Officers also charged him with a further count of burglary, relating to the incident in Emersons Avenue.
The teen appeared at Sevenoaks Youth Court on Saturday (October 19) where he was remanded in custody to appear at the same court on Thursday (October 24).
