Man airlifted to hospital with head injury after falling from ladder in Gravesend
A MAN was airlifted to hospital with a ‘potentially serious’ head injury after falling from a ladder in Gravesend yesterday (October 14).
The accident occurred in King Street at around 9.50am and the man was flown to King's College Hospital in Denmark Hill.
The extent of his injuries are not known but a South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) spokesman said the use of the air ambulance suggested they could be serious.
He said: “We were called to King Street following reports of a man who had fallen from a ladder.
“We sent two ambulance crews to the scene and sent an air ambulance.
“The victim is believed to be around 40-years-old and suffered a potentially serious head injury.
He added: “He was treated at the scene and was airlifted to King's College Hospital.”
