1903 (Penge) Squadron excited about first Kent Cadet Week
NEXT week Beckenham cadets will be joining with thousands of others taking part in the first Kent Cadet Week.
The campaign will celebrate the history, heritage, achievements and ambitions of Kent’s modern cadet forces from Monday (October 14) to Friday (October 18).
It will bring together members of the Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps, Sea Cadet Corps and Combined Cadet Force (CCF) in a bid to raise awareness of the cadets as well as generate funding and recruit cadets and adult instructors.
As part of the week the 1903 (Penge) Squadron will be holding an open day at its base in Kent House Road, Beckenham, next Wednesday (October 16).
Flight Lieutenant John Wohlgemuth said: “This is a really exciting event for us.
“It’s the first time all three cadet forces have worked together on an annual recruitment campaign and we are hoping to highlight the activities available at our squadron to young people and volunteering opportunities for adults.”
