AFTER discovering it was the only village in the region to not have a sign, Keston set about installing one which reflected its historic significance.

And after hard work by the Keston Village Residents Association (KVRA) and designer Richard Geiger a large crowd gathered to watch the unveiling on the village green.

Each of the sign’s six panels depict a moment one of the historical features which have drawn visitors to Keston for hundreds of years including Caesar’s Well and the Wilberforce Oak.

KVRA chairman David Clapham said: “We are delighted with the sign and are very grateful for the support we have had from residents, the London Borough of Bromley, the designer and all those involved with this project.

“We believe the new sign marks the centre of the village and further enhances its unique character.”
