Woolwich pub race abuser from Eltham cautioned
A 51-YEAR-OLD Eltham man has been cautioned after shouting racist remarks in a Woolwich pub, sparking a police appeal.
On May 28, three people were drinking in the Great Harry Pub, Wellington Street when they were verbally abused by the man.
The 51-year-old was caught on CCTV and his image was shared through the media.
After receiving information through Crimestoppers, Greenwich police traced him to Eltham where he admitted the offence and apologised. He has since been cautioned.
Detective Sergeant Victoria Sullivan from Greenwich police said: "We would like to thank members of the public and the press for their help and assistance in tracing this man.
We are satisfied with the result of this investigation and hope that other people who are subjected to this kind of verbal abuse and racist behaviour report it to us."
