Eltham woman detained after stabbing neighbour seven times in noise dispute
AN ELTHAM woman has been detained in a mental health unit after stabbing one of her neighbours in a dispute over noise.
Maria Drann, aged 48, attacked her 53-year-old victim as she returned to her flat with shopping.
As the neighbour stepped out of the lift in a block of flats on Sowerby Close, Drann confronted her and then stabbed her at least seven times.
Another neighbour managed to raise the alarm and Drann was quickly arrested in nearby Sherard Road.
Her victim sustained a total of 17 of injuries, has been left with permanent scarring and has trouble using one hand.
At Woolwich Crown Court Drann admitted GBH with intent but denied attempted murder.
She was detained indefinitely under the Mental Health Act in Dartford's Bracton Centre.
