Rain causes delays at Dartford Crossing, A20 Sidcup bypass and London-bound A2
HEAVY rain across the News Shopper area has created a morning of misery for motorists on the roads.
It re-opened at 7.40am but traffic is still queuing back beyond Junction 2 at the Darenth Interchange.
There are also delays on the clockwise M25 approaching the QE2 Bridge, with traffic stationary beyond Junction 30 at the A13.
For drivers using the A20 Sidcup bypass, there is a sticky patch of very slow traffic heading towards London, on the bend close to the McDonalds service station.
Traffic remains slow on this stretch of the road approaching Crittall’s Corner.
And it looks like delays are building up on the London-bound A2, with traffic currently slow from the Darenth Interchange at the M25 to the Gravel Hill exit.
The weather is expected to dry up this morning but further showers are due early this afternoon.
