Loverock Road are Michael Gunn (vocals/guitar), Matt Gostelow (guitar/vocals), Dave Gostelow (bass) and Dave Weaver (drums).
They hail from the south east of London via Essex and their music has been likened to The Kinks, Stranglers and Television.
The band was formed by Dave and Mike sometime in 2003 while they were studying at the University of Kent.
They recruited Dave's younger brother Matt and his old friend Dave to complete the line-up.
They acquired their name after a rather debaucherous trip to Reading festival in the summer of 2004.
The band then started to write and rehearse a number of songs. They recorded their first demo Red Horizon at the beginning of 2005, leading to their first gig at the Bull & Gate, Kentish Town.
The band have since been gigging in numerous venues in the south east of England and have built up a loyal following.
Their second demo Stella for a Pound has been picked up by a number of radio stations and indie nights in the Kent/Essex area.
