Police hunt for Dartford cannabis factory suspect with Deptford links
THIS is the face of a man wanted by police in connection with the discovery of a multi-million pound cannabis factory in Dartford.
He is known to use the name Stefan Nardi, claims to be 37-years-old and Italian and is thought to have connections to the Deptford area.
The suspect is wanted for suspected involvement in the large scale production of cannabis after police last month uncovered what is thought to be the largest factory producing the drug ever found in Kent.
On Bank Holiday Monday, August 26, Kent Police moved in to an abandoned office block in West Hill near Dartford town centre.
Just one of a number of rooms packed with plants in the Dartford cannabis factory.
Around 5,000-6,000 cannabis plants were found over two floors of the building with a street value of between £2million and £4million in a growing operation thought to be worth £15 million a year.
It took officers several days to clear the former Kent County Council-run building which was searched following a tip-off from a member of the public.
Detective Sergeant Rik Spicer of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: "We have been following up several lines of enquiry following the discovery of this multi-million pound cannabis production in Dartford.
Police move in to begin dismantling the operation.
“We have released an image of a man who goes under the name of Stefan Nardi, although this could well be an alias.
“If you know this man, who is believed to have links to Deptford, or have any information about his whereabouts, I’d urge you to contact us.”
Anybody with any information is asked to call Kent Police on 01474 366258, quoting CAD 26-0284.
