SINCE reporting how the deadly false widow spider had been spotted in homes and gardens across south east London and north Kent, News Shopper has received more than 50 further sightings of the minibeast.

Last week we heard from Blackfen tattooist Alex Michael, whose hand went black and yellow after he was bitten by one of the critters as he slept in Sidcup.

We also reported how decorator Andy Pitty had more than 50 of the critters on his fence at his home in Smuggler's Walk, Greenhithe.

But we have now heard from readers from all across News Shopper Land who have spotted the spider in their gardens or found one in their homes.

The sightings stretch from Gravesend to Greenhithe and from Orpington to Welling.

Are you worried about false widows in your home? One Orpington businessman says he has a 'no brainer' solution to the problem.
