Man rushed to hospital after trapping leg in potato harvester in Southfleet
A MAN was rushed to hospital after his leg became trapped in a potato harvester in Southfleet.
Paramedics were called to Hook Green Road shortly after 8pm yesterday evening where they found the man in his 20s trapped in farming machinery.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said the man had been trapped there “for some time” and it took firefighters around two hours to release him.
He was rushed to Kings College Hospital in London as a priority and was suffering from injuries to his leg and pelvis.
Four ambulance crews attended the scene, including the doctor from Kent’s Air Ambulance.
Firefighters, who used hydraulic cutting equipment and spreaders to release the man, left the scene at 9.25pm.
