Swanley trio and man from Erith charged over dodgy building work
THREE men from Swanley and one from Erith have been charged with fraud and money laundering offences over dodgy building work.
The four have been under investigation by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate over unnecessary, overpriced or substandard work across the south east.
Emmanuel Arnold, 40, of Lower Road, Swanley, Thomas Arnold, 18, of the same address, David James, 27, of Walnut Way, Swanley and Emmanuel Arnold, 20, of South Ash Road, Sevenoaks have been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud between October 1, 2012 and August 1, 2013.
David James has also been charged with money laundering along with Kristofer Batchelor, 20, of Grange House, Erith and Patience Mobey, 21, of Cockering Road, Canterbury.
The charges follow investigations into building work at locations in Kent, Essex and Surrey.
All six are due to appear at Margate Magistrates Court on October 24 for a preliminary hearing.
