Arabella Campbell's friends doing Duke of Edinburgh Award expedition in her memory
FRIENDS of Beckenham teenager Arabella Campbell have her in their thoughts this weekend as they undertake their silver Duke of Edinburgh’s Award qualifying expedition.
The team named themselves The Seven Sisters after the chalk cliffs in East Sussex where they did their practice hike (where the photo was taken).
Langley Park School for Girls pupil Arabella, 16, died a few weeks after the hike after suffering a cardiac arrest in her bedroom.
The remaining six 15 to 17-year-old girls have kept their team name in her memory.
During the three day hike across the South Downs they are wearing CRY t-shirts to raise awareness of the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young.
They are recording video of their experiences over the course of the expedition and will be editing it into a blog.
An inquest into Arabella’s death was held on Thursday (September 12) and found she died as a result of sudden adult death syndrome (SADS).
