Bromley parks officer Caroll Long honoured for Crays work
A ‘STAR amongst diamonds’ has been honoured for the work she does to help the Crays community.
Caroll Long’s official job title is parks partnership officer but at a ceremony held at the Croft Tea Room in High Street, St Mary Cray, she was recognised for being so much more.
The Bromley Council employee works tirelessly with all the groups in the area, ranging from the St Mary Cray Action Group to the Bromley Gipsy Traveller Community Project.
And so the Cray Valley East Safer Neighbourhood Panel dreamed up the Community Champion award to say thank you.
Making the presentation the portfolio holder for the environment Councillor Colin Smith said: “The jewel in our crown is the parks team and there’s one who stands out.
“Amongst a team of diamonds, she’s definitely a star.
“Working with the entire Crays she encourages people of all ages and all abilities to get involved.”
