Crunch time for Bromley lager louts as PubWatch goes online
LAGER louts had better watch out as the next generation of a pub safety campaigns has gone online.
Crime prevention scheme PubWatch aims to fight anti-social behaviour by enabling staff to exchange information about troublemakers.
Around 20 licensees gathered in Bar Sport in Bromley High Street on September 2 to kick off the scheme.
Bromley PubWatch chairman Mike Dilnot, who also manages the Barrel and Horn in the High Street, said: "We want our customers to have a really enjoyable and carefree time when they are out having a relaxing drink or meal - this scheme helps us to achieve this."
Bromley Council portfolio holder for public protection and safety Councillor Tim Stevens said: "Well-run premises are important for the continued success of our town centres and the PubWatch scheme builds on the borough’s good reputation.
"With the support of responsible landlords, such as those at the launch of this scheme, our safe and pleasant leisure environment should be further enhanced."
