AMBITIOUS plans to build a hotel and university accommodation in Sidcup town centre have been unveiled.
Developer Pure Lake Group is proposing to demolish Christopher House in Station Road and replace it with a 106-bedroom Premier Inn and a nine-storey halls of residence for Rose Bruford College.
Professor Michael Earley, the principal and CEO of the Lamorbey Park-based university, which specialises in theatre and performance, says the development will help “benefit the regeneration and growth of Sidcup as a desirable place”.
The plans, to be ruled on by the council’s planning committee later this year, are on show at Bexley Civic Offices between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and Sidcup Library.
They can also be viewed on Bexley Council’s website, reference number 13/01323/FULM.
