Dartford Crossing bomb hoax suspect detained under Mental Health Act
THE 27-year-old man arrested following yesterday evenings bomb hoax at the Dartford Crossing has been detained under the Mental Health Act.
When police searched the coach they found a cylindrical device with wires inside.
Police later said the device did not pose any threat.
The man, who is a foreign national from the Bournemouth area, is now being cared for in a secure mental health unit.
It was not until 11pm last night at the QE2 Bridge and the Dartford Tunnels were re-opened, some seven hours after police were called.
