Cray Wanderers tackling breast cancer on Non-League Day
FOOTBALL supporters can help tackle breast cancer by watching Cray Wanderers on Non-League Day.
Everyone who comes to watch the team on Saturday (September 7) will help raise funds for the Breast Cancer Campaign.
The Wands first team manager Ian Jenkins came up with the fundraising idea because his wife, her sister and his mother-in-law have all suffered from the illness.
Mr Jenkins said: “I asked if the club would support the campaign and without hesitation they said yes.
“The game on Non-League Day is just one of several fund raising initiatives I’m planning.”
To encourage a big crowd on the day all football season ticket holders, whether premiership or championship, football league or non-league will get in for half-price.
And for every paying adult, up to four children under the age of 16 will get in free.
A percentage of the gate receipts on Saturday will be donated to the Breast Cancer Campaign.
The game against Carshalton Athletic will be played at the home of Bromley FC in Hayes Lane, Bromley.
Kick-off is at 3 pm.
