Girl power alive and kicking in five-generation Sidcup family
A FIVE-GENERATION family from Sidcup is celebrating its latest member.
And little Poppy Lawrence, who was born at Darent Valley Hospital, isn’t short of babysitters.
As well as her seventeen-year-old mother Georgia Lawrence, she has nan Tanya Osborne, great nan Eunice and 90-year-old great-great nan Gwendalin.
"We’ve always been a really tight-knit family," said Tanya Osborne, of Highview Road.
The 37-year-old added: "Me and Georgia live next door to my mum and we see her pretty much every day.
"I never really thought I’d be a nan at my age but it’s really nice for my nan to see her great-great granddaughter. It’s really lucky."
Poppy was born on August 11 and weighed 7 pounds. This historic picture is the first to be taken of all five generations, spanning nine decades.
Her seventeen-year-old father John-James Plumb, of Swanscombe, has been over to look after the newborn.
Mrs Osborne, who has lived next door to her mum with daughters Georgia and Leah and son Charlie for the past 10 years, added: "They’ve been doing really well.
"Georgia’s taken to being a mum really well and Poppy’s so laid back.
"It’s all good so far, no sleepless nights. I can sleep straight through it."
