Glenn Lister named as Bromley wall crash victim
A MOTORIST who died after a Porsche 911 crashed into a wall in Bromley has been named as 45-year-old Glenn Lister.
Officers were on patrol in Masons Hill, near the junction of Homesdale Road, at around 3.10am on Saturday when they saw the vehicle.
Witnesses near the scene told the police they had seen a man leaving the vehicle by climbing over the wall.
And the officers found him collapsed near to the scene of the collision, on the opposite side of the road from the old Dripping Tap plumbing shop.
An ambulance arrived but Mr Lister, from Bromley, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination took place yesterday (September 3) and gave the cause of death as internal injuries sustained from a collision.
The Met Police’s directorate of professional standards has been informed and the matter has also been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
A Met Police spokesman says this took place as a matter of course.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the police on 020 8285 1574.
