A “SWEET and adorable” pensioner celebrated her 100th birthday at a care home in Erith.
Former farm worker Hilda Michael turned 100 on August 19 and spent the day celebrating at Sherwood House in Queen Street.
Hilda, who grew up in east London, worked in a factory during her youth before marrying a Cypriot and re-locating to Cyprus.
Speaking about Hilda’s birthday, Orbit South sheltered housing scheme officer Rashidat Balogun told News Shopper: “She loved it - the party was organised by Orbit and the residents.
“She was very happy when she got a letter from the Queen.
“She said she doesn’t feel 100 years.”
Ms Balogun added: “She is really sweet and adorable.
“I get on very well with her and she is just like my baby here to be honest.”
