GRAVESEND X Factor star Tamera Foster made her first appearance on the ITV talent show last night - but her performance as part of a duo split judges opinions.

The 16-year-old auditioned on the show as part of a duo called Silver Rock, with 22-year-old Jerrie Dila, as she performed Beyonce hit 'End of Time.'

But the judges decided to split them up and make them both perform solo in front of thousands of fans at Wembley Arena during the second part of the auditions, due to be screened tonight.

Take That star Gary Barlow told them: "With duos there has to be a relationship and this doesn't work for me."

Returning judge Sharon Osborne added: "When I look at you girls I was thinking 'oh they remind me of Destiny's Child if they just had someone else.'"

Barlow then suggested the pair perform solos and Tamera sung an extract of Alicia Keys' 'Falling,' before he asked the duo to leave the audition room as the judges deliberated.

When they returned, he told them: "This doesn't work as a duo. You are both very good individually.

"You can go away from here with four yes' as soloists."

The pair accepted the offer.

See how Tamera gets on when she takes to the stage in front of thousands on ITV at 8pm tonight.
