Six injured in M25 pile-up between Swanley and Darenth
SIX people have been taken to hospital following a horror smash on the M25 this morning.
The collision involving four cars and a lorry shut the anti-clockwise carriageway between J3 for Swanley Interchange and J2 for Darenth Interchange.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.50am and four men and two women were taken to hospital.
Police, two fire engines and six ambulance attended. The most serious casualty, a man in his 20s was rushed to King's College Hospital with serious pelvic injuries.
Two patients were put on long boards and taken to Darent Valley Hospital.
Another two victims were taken to Princess Royal University Hospital and one casualty was taken to Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
The crash caused severe delays with queues stretching back until J4 for Orpington.
Three lanes reopened at 8.40am but one lane remained shut for around another hour.
