Blitz Festival brings weekend of extreme sports to Cyclopark in Gravesend
A WEEKEND of extreme sports entertained hundreds of people in Gravesend, as the Blitz Festival came to Cyclopark.
Activities including inline skating, skateboarding, scootering and longboarding were showcased by pros from across the continent.
There was also an opportunity for visitors to try their hand at some of the sports themselves during the three-day event, which came to a close on August 26.
Cyclopark chief executive Laurence Tricker said: “I’m thrilled Cyclopark has been able to host the inaugural Blitz Festival and provide the local community with a chance to see these alternative sports and activities for perhaps the first time on their doorstep.
“ I’m hoping we have attracted more local people into trying various difference sports, you never know we may have our own local Blitz Festival winner in future years.”
Festival organiser Phil Wildman added: “It has been a humungous success and we are already excited about what we can do for next year.
"Feedback from all the participants and spectators has been unanimously positive.”
