Police appeal for Bromley residents to identify snatched jewellery stash
PRECIOUS items including a red velvet Cartier case, a charm bracelet and a decorative magnifying glass have been recovered by the police after being allegedly snatched during burglaries.
The jewellery stash is thought to have been stolen from Bromley and surrounding areas and officers have released 24 pictures in the hope previous owners can identify their items.
The appeal follows the arrest of a 21-year-old man in Croydon on August 15. He has now been charged and remanded in custody in relation to 10 offences.
He is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court in September.
Detective Constable Simon Nicholls, who is leading the investigation, said: “There is a good chance some, if not all of these items have been stolen at some point, most likely during a burglary.
“If you have been burgled or had items stolen recently, then please take a look at these images and get in touch if you think you recognise any of them.”
Anyone who recognises any of the items is asked to call DC Simon Nicholls on 020 3276 2210.
