PICTURED: Neighbours photograph men leaving scene of Beckenham burglary on moped
A PAIR of burglars were caught red handed as neighbours confronted and photographed them as they left a Beckenham home.
The house of Natasha Rayasam was broken into on July 28 at around 11am.
But as two men left the Park Road address on a moped with the family safe, neighbours approached them and managed to take a photograph.
Mrs Rayasam told News Shopper: "On the Sunday (July 28) morning, at 11 o'clock, two men on a moped with crash helmets broke through the side door and a got into the garden.
"They smashed two panels of glass in our conservatory and entered the house.
"They went straight up to the master bedroom and ransacked the whole thing, all the wardrobes and chests of drawers.
"They found the safe, which was secured to the floor, but managed to get the whole thing out.
"They did the whole thing in under seven minutes.
"While they were leaving my neighbour confronted them and managed to get an iphone photo of them.
"They can't have gone far with the safe. They are local I am sure of it.
"I am very grateful to my neighbours for doing what they did.
"They told me they made off towards Foxgrove Road."
Mrs Rayasam is offering a £500 reward for any information leading to an arrest.
