Friends of Darent Valley baby care fund Little Buds rock out at Bexleyheath fundraiser
FRIENDS of a Darent Valley Hospital fund for baby care rocked out at a Bexleyheath fundraiser on Saturday (Aug 16).
The Little Buds fund supports mothers before and after giving birth and friends of the service gathered at the Bristow Aerodrome in Bristow Road for a day and an evening of rock and dance music.
There were also games and activities for children with £500 raised so far by the 100 people who turned out.
Zachary Crawford was born by emergency caesarean on August 2, 2011, weighing just 3lb 13oz.
His mum Debbie Crawford is a Little Buds Fund supporter who says she and husband Paul were given great support from Darent Valley staff as their son, now two-years-old, worked his way back to health.
She said: "The band Death Ape Disco were absolutely magnificent and everybody was very generous and had a fantastic day.
“Me and my husband are overwhelmed with the support we got and the and the amount of money we were able to raise.”
