TRIBUTES have flooded in for a dedicated ‘Welling Massive’ member and “amazing friend” who died at the weekend.

Friends of 25-year-old Welling FC season ticket holder Adam Shulver have said they are “heartbroken” following his sudden death.

Police say his death is not being treated as suspicious after officers were called to his home in Montrose Avenue, Welling, shortly after 8pm on Saturday (JULY 13).

Nicole Whitehead, who has known Adam since he was 12, said: “You cannot believe how many people felt so strongly about him and loved him so much.

“He had the ability to light up the room and it feels like it is not going to be the same now.”

The 34-year-old, who lives in Peregrine Court, added: “He was very good at starting the chants and making up the most incredible chants.

“There will be an Adam sized hole that no one will be able to fill.”

Friends last saw Adam, who worked for a real estate company in London, at Park View Road on Friday evening (JULY 12) at the club’s pre-season friendly against Leyton Orient.

Ms Whitehead says he was “completely on top form” at the game, which saw the Wings thrashed 4-1.

She added: “He had a unique dress sense and was always getting told to get his hair cut.

“He was the only supporter to take hair straighteners to away games and that included the girls!

“He really was a massive part of it, he was a huge, huge part of the group.”

Hundreds of messages have been left in Adam’s memory on the Welling United fans forum from fellow supporters.

The club announced on Monday (JULY 15) the 12th man shirt for next season will be dedicated to Adam and a shirt with his name on it will be displayed in the Wings Bar.

He leaves behind his father Kevin, brothers Dean, Lee and Josh, step-dad Andy and girlfriend Lauren.
