GREENWICH Park will host a community fun day organised by its local police officers.

The free event takes place on July 21 from 10am to 4pm beside the bandstand area between Blackheath Avenue and Great Cross Avenue.

Historic police vehicles, police horses and the Blackheath Rock Choir will be there on the day. There will also be a guided tour of the Queen’s Orchard.

The Dog Society is also taking part, providing guidance on dog ownership.

Police Sergeant John Feeney said: "We are hoping that many people will turn up to enjoy the event which has been carefully put together. We look forward to seeing as many people as possible."

A team of 14 police officers work in the park, conducting regular patrols. To contact them call 07768 090 606 or email Greenwichpark@met.pnn.police.uk
