DETECTIVES want to speak to this man in connection with a bank robbery in Dartford town centre.

Officers were called to the Co-Operative Bank in Hythe Street to reports of a man had just stolen £2,000 before running out of the ban towards Dartford train station via Home Gardens.

The daylight robbery happened at 10.23am on June 27 and today Kent Police has released an image of a man they want to speak to about the incident, taken from CCTV on a London-bound train.

The offender described as black, between the ages of 16 and 30, around 5ft 7ins in height, with an unkempt Afro hairstyle and of a slim build.

He was wearing a black vest, black shirt and dark trousers, and carrying a black bag.

Nobody was hurt in the robbery and no weapons were used.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable James Crouch of Kent Police, said: “While we are still looking into different lines of enquiry, I would be keen to hear from anybody who saw this man in or around Dartford or on the railway system on the 27 June - if anyone who recognises him.”
