A SIDCUP care home welcomed a visit from the king of rock and roll to celebrate an open day.

Abbostleigh Mews care home residents enjoyed a show by Elvis impersonator Jimmy E which had guests crooning along on national care home open day.

The Old Farm Road home hosted Pat the dancing dog, musical bingo and put on a cream tea for prospective residents employees on June 21.

Home manager Tracey Cheeseman said: "It went really well and it was just a really nice atmosphere.

"We had about 20 people come round looking at careers with Bupa or getting to know what the home is about.

"Elvis went down really well and so did Pat the dog. All the residents had a really nice time."
