ONE of the people who helped organise a Charlton fundraiser for Lee Rigby's family will now jump out of a plane to raise even more cash.

A recent community organised funday at Charlton's Meridian Sports and Social Club raised a massive £5,500 for the murdered Woolwich soldier's family.

The grandparents of Drummer Rigby also turned out for the successful event, which featured live music, a raffle, entertainment and around 60 different stalls.

John Bull, aged 38, of Wickham Street, Welling, helped on the day. He now wants to do a sponsored skydive and says he has been contacted from as far afield as Liverpool over the event, which takes place on August 31 at Headcorn near Ashford.

He said: "All donations that are gratefully received will be handed in person to his family."
