A BEXLEYHEATH care home celebrated an open day with a jam-packed day of activities and a garden party.
The day of events on June 21 included jewellery making, arts and crafts, cake making and bingo and a garden party with tea, coffee and homemade cakes.
Mayor of Bexley Councillor Sharon Massey had a tour of the West Street home, chatted to the residents and was presented with flowers and biscuits made by the centre's chef June War and a homemade cake by staff member Vaishali Phatak.
Residents were also treated to an evening show by Elvis impersonator Gary King which had guests up dancing.
Care home administrator Julia Parkes said: "The day went really well, all the residents really liked it and the entertainment went down well.
"This is a very good thing for the home and it has raised awareness as it has given people the chance to see what we do for the residents so it was a very good day for the home."
