BROMLEY North station was evacuated earlier after the discovery of what was thought to be an unexploded World War Two bomb - but it turned out to be a gas canister.
The device was reported to police at 3.40pm today by workmen who found it in Tweedy Road.
All roads in the area have now been reopened.
