A BROMLEY women’s club has celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Oakleigh Women’s Club met in its regular haunt Bromley Common Village Hall in Hastings Road to mark the occasion and invited both current and former members along, all of whom were given specially engraved pens.
The organisation also held its AGM last month.
Chairman Muriel Harrison said: "I’ve been going for around 43 years and first out about it from neighbours.
"We do lots of different things – we have speakers and we recently went on a trip finished off with a cream tea.
"One of the founding members, Joy Ray, still attends and another founding member Joan More returned for the 50th anniversary."
