LEWISHAM'S People's Day festival is back with another top line-up - including 1980s reggae stars Musical Youth.

Around 25,000 people are expected to attend south east London's biggest free festival, now in its 29th year, which takes place in Mountsfield Park on July 13.

Musical Youth, best known for worldwide number one hit Pass the Dutchie, will perform, along with Mat Ricardo’s Variety Show and the South London Jazz Orchestra.

Alongside the music, there will be community stalls and organisations, craft stalls from around the globe, taster sport-sessions, fairground rides, BMX stunt riders and activity workshops for children.

Mayor of Lewisham Sir Steve Bullock said: "All around the park you will find entertainment, information from voluntary organisations and community services, crafts and goods from businesses large and small.

"All are central to the vibrancy of Lewisham life."

The event, supported by L&Q Housing, runs from 12pm to 8pm.
