IS YOUR property overcrowded or under-occupied?
Bexley Council is hosting its first property swap event next month for residents who wish to downsize or upgrade their home.
A number of local housing associations will be present offering advice to people who may be affected by the under-occupancy benefit changes.
Bexley Council’s cabinet member for adult social care Councillor Chris Taylor said: "This event is the ideal chance for our residents to come along and link in with others who may be looking to swap their existing property for a smaller or larger home.
“Where else will residents have the ability to view estate agent style details of available properties and make quick contact with housing associations with a view to swap?
“This is a fantastic idea and I hope we see a big take up on the day."
The event will be held at the civic offices in Bexleyheath Broadway between 10am and 2pm and 4pm and 8pm on July 3.
