A GRIEVING father has written advice for dads struggling to come to terms with the death of a child.
Paul Daniels, of Clarence Road, Bickley, wrote a chapter for a booklet created by the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young charity (CRY) which will be published for Fathers Day.
His son, 15-year-old Ben, died of an undetected heart problem two years ago.
Paul has been campaigning for a cardiac screening programme for youngsters ever since.
He said: "It happens to 12 young people every week so it’s affecting all these other families.
"It is something you never get over.
"I’ve written a chapter for a CRY booklet for dads who have gone through what we did about my relationship with Ben to tie in with Father's Day (June 16).
"I am so proud of what people are doing in Ben’s memory.
"It is a tremendous comfort to us."
