A POLITICIAN has visited a Bromley service which helps separated parents reach agreement outside of court.
Justice Minister Lord McNally met staff and clients from the South East London Family Mediation Bureau which encourages people to negotiate peacefully.
The service, in North Street, Bromley, was established in 1978 and receives around 800 referrals each year - research shows the bureau has more than an 80 per cent success rate.
Service manager Fred Gibbons said: "The meeting went really well and achieved all the objectives we'd hoped for.
"There was even a video produced to show how the service works to government departments."
