A JURY has retired to consider its verdict in the case of a 16-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed in the chest at a Downham house party last August.
Nathaniel Brown was found lying face-down on a toy box by the teenage hostess of the party in Launcelot Road in the early hours of August 1. He died shortly after.
Jeffrey Otete, 19, from Giffin Street in Deptford, Felix Connel, 19, from Middlesex, and a 16-year-old boy who cannot be named for legal reasons are on trial accused of his murder.
Connel denies murder but admits stabbing the victim once in self-defence and says Nathaniel was armed with a kitchen knife, the Old Bailey jury previously heard.
The 16-year-old and Otete also deny murder and Otete says he was in another room when the tragedy struck, the court heard.
