A NEW Eltham pub has brought forward its annual Help for Heroes fundraiser following the death of soldier Lee Rigby in Woolwich.
Staff at The Beehive in Footscray Road say they are expecting 20 soldiers from Woolwich Barracks to join the event on June 29 - which is also National Armed Forces Day.
From 2pm, people have been sponsored to do a bungee jump using a crane in the pub car park.
A raffle will also be held with prizes donated from shops around the area, while musical performers have offered to waive their performance fees to take part in the day, which lasts from 12pm to 12am.
Manager Jane Bentley said: "I just want to prove that we can, as a community, pull together and make something good out of this."
