EXCAVATION workers in Charlton have uncovered an unexploded Second World War bomb today (May 9).
The device has been found during building work behind Anchor and Hope Lane, police say.
Evacuations of nearby buildings are taking place and a bomb disposal expert is en route to the scene where a controlled explosion is due to take place.
